Change the Way Your Student Sees the World!

Study abroad can be a transformative life experience for students.  Emory College's Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA) has been offering summer study abroad opportunities for more than 40 years. Our programs offer courses for academic credit in a range of subjects in countries around the world.  Our goal is to provide a curriculum of outstanding academic quality for students who wish to study societies, cultures, languages, sciences, or other academic disciplines in an overseas context and location.

The programs take place at various times throughout the summer months, and most programs are between five and six weeks in length.  The majority of courses are taught by Emory faculty which provides students a wonderful opportunity to get to know faculty outside the traditional classroom setting, and students earn direct Emory credit and grades.  The program cost is inclusive of tuition, accommodations, some meals, supplemental study abroad health insurance, on-site transportation, and academic excursions and field trips.  Students currently enrolled at Emory or another college or university are eligible to apply for programs.  Financial aid is available to qualified Emory students, and eligible Emory and non-Emory students may utilize the educational benefit of the Emory Courtesy Scholarship towards the tuition cost of the program.

A complete list of Summer 2013 programs can be found on the CIPA website at www.cipa.emory.edu. Applications are currently being accepted through the on-line system.  The final deadline is March 1, but early application is strongly advised, as some programs have an earlier deadline, and many programs reach capacity quickly.
