Hatchery Grant Funds for Faculty and Staff
The Hatchery is launching two new grant programs to support the innovative work of Emory Faculty and Staff. Emory’s campus is full of innovators who are creating the future and training the future’s innovative leaders. At the same time, innovation is challenging. Carving out the margin of time necessary to think innovatively and finding resources to try new things is an ever-present challenge.

The Hatchery, in working with a wide cross-section of Emory’s most impressive innovators, has heard these challenges over and over again. In response to these challenges and the desire by the Emory community to see greater access to the necessary resources of innovation, The Hatchery will be launching two new programs this Spring, which are open to faculty and staff, to continue to grow Emory Innovation Ecosystem: The Emory Innovation Engine, and The Innovation Speaker Fund.

The Emory Innovation Engine is a grant program and short workshop series open to faculty, staff, and students who are developing programs for Emory student innovators and entrepreneurs. The Emory Innovation Engine provides innovation programmers in all schools and disciplines at Emory with up to $2500 in funding, plus targeted project consulting from The Hatchery’s staff and student Innovation Interns to support effective program development, delivery, and sustainability.

The Innovation Speaker Fund, open to faculty and staff, is a grant program that provides funding to bring innovative speakers to Emory’s campus. The speakers will discuss innovation in their fields and share the innovative work they are doing to inspire students wanting to succeed in that discipline and beyond.  The Hatchery will offer event space and promotion support and provide up to $1000 to help bring innovators from a variety of fields to Emory’s campus for conversations that inspire the entire Emory community.
