MORE NEWS YOU CAN USE

Flu Season is Here!

If you have flu-like symptoms, please do not come to work. The flu virus is contagious and everyone needs to do their part to keep the spread of the flu to a minimum. Faculty and staff still have the following options for getting a free flu shot:

  • At your doctor’s office. For employees covered under one of Emory’s medical plans (HSA Plan or POS Plan), flu shots are considered “preventive care” which means it’s free at your doctor’s office (in-network doctors only).  Be sure to take your Aetna medical card with you.

  • At a participating pharmacy. Several pharmacies offer flu shots (CVS, Walgreens, etc.).  Employees on one of Emory’s medical plans can get a free flu shot at any pharmacy that accepts Medco/Express Scripts.  You will need to present your Medco/Express Scripts card.
