Summer Camps and Learning

Discover the many different summer camp and learning activities that are available for school-aged children in the metro-Atlanta area.

Summer Camp and Learning Expo

Held each year in February, this free event helps Emory's working parents shop for summer camp and learning activities throughout the metro-Atlanta area. The expo is open to employees and family members of Emory University, Emory Healthcare, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).

Over 80 different summer programs are featured, including those in the arts, athletics, technology, environmental, academic programs, as well as summer volunteer, counselor-in-training and part-time job opportunities for teens. Participating vendors answer questions about their summer programs and many of them offer employee discounts.

2020 Expo

Emory’s 2020 Annual Camp and Learning Expo will be held on February 13, 2020 at the Woodruff PE Center, 4th Floor Auxiliary Court, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. (Inclement weather date is February 20, 2020). Admission is free.

Expo 2020 will be similar to years’ past, boasting nearly 80 exciting summer camps and academic programs for children aged 5-17. In addition to the camps and academic programs, the expo includes some other very helpful resources for parents and families including programs to teach teens to drive and tutoring services. Representatives from area summer programs are scheduled to be onsite to answer questions and offer some discounts.

Workplace Options will also be onsite completing free dependent care referrals in an effort to help parents find additional summer programming and other types of dependent care options that are not available at the Expo.

The Emory WorkLife Resource Center will be raffling off prizes to attendees at the event. All those hoping to win a raffle prize must sign in at the event. To qualify for a grand prize, you must be either an Emory employee or a Laney Graduate School student. Lite snacks and refreshments are available for guests.

The list of participating vendors and raffle prizes will be posted at a later date.

Registration to attend Emory’s Camp & Learning Expo is not required; however in effort to help with the preparations for the event, the Emory WorkLife Resource Center asks you to let them know if you plan to attend by completing registration:
