New Online Training for HR Rep Certification

In cooperation with Emory’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, and their partnership with LawRoom Online Training, new courses are being offered in the HR Rep Certification Program. These are a great way to learn the law behind Emory’s policies. Two courses are already available to all employees in the general Emory workforce and Level I HR Reps course offerings:

  • Bridges - Building a Supportive Community – Sexual assault, Title IX and Campus SaVe Act.
  • Intersections – Sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, abusive conduct, Title IX, and Campus SaVe Act

The following courses will be added as electives for Level II & III Reps:

  • (255025-11209) - Bullying in the Workplace
  • (255029-11210) - Diversity:  Skills for Collaboration
  • (255067-12290) - Accommodating Disabilities
  • (255061-12283) - Duty to Prevent Violence
  • (255065-12288) - Recognizing Drug & Alcohol Abuse
  • (255066-12289) - Terminating Employees

Depending upon the complexity of the content, they run 30 – 60 minutes, are highly interactive and test the participant along the way.  There are additional content options for particularly challenging areas of the laws addressed in each subject.  This is another option for earning your HR Rep Certification and an excellent opportunity to increase your HR expertise.
