This workshop can help you understand the legal terminology and help you navigate who can assist you in the adoption process. You will learn about the types of adoption, the definition of parent vs. biological, an estimate of the costs involved and how some costs can be defrayed. The workshop will also cover the time it can take to adopt a child. Presented by Mindy Pillow, Esq., February 21, 2014, 12:00-1:00 PM, 1599 Clifton Rd, Room 1D. Register.

CHRISKids is a foster care organization that works with county and state agencies across the country to identify adoptive families for children in the foster care system.  In this workshop, CHRISKids will walk through the process of how an adoption is made with a family wanting to adopt a child in foster care in Georgia and in other states. This course of action entails training, counseling, home studies, costs and the end-process of the adoption. Facilitator: Mindy Pillow, Esq. & CHRISKids, March 7, 2014, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, 1599 Clifton Rd, Room 1.432. Register.
