Help Pick the 2016 Staff Fest Theme

Staff Fest 2016 will be held on May 13, 2016 and we want your ideas for the 2016 Staff Fest Theme/Slogan! The selected winning slogan will be used on the 2016 Staff Fest t-shirt and the contest winner will receive a $25 gift card to Emory’s Barnes and Noble bookstore and more. Presidential Selection Committee Update
The Presidential Selection Committee continues to make significant progress toward selecting Emory University’s next president. The committee has completed an extraordinary community engagement process that included 37 intensive listening and dialogue sessions. The committee met with groups of faculty, staff, students, alumni, Emory Healthcare physicians, and other members of the Emory community to hear their insights and perspectives. Zika Virus: Guidance for Emory Travelers
Reports regarding the Zika virus and its spread have received increasing national and international media attention.  Emory University wants to ensure that community members are aware of the resources available to help keep University travelers safe and up to date about evolving health threats. Colorful Choices – A New Wellness Challenge is Coming Soon!
Colorful Choices is a six week, web-based nutrition program to encourage healthy eating patterns.  No calorie counting, no fat gram tabulating, no weighing or measuring -- just easy-to-remember daily selections of colorful produce! Participants will set personal goals, compete with co-workers and have a chance to win prizes. Look for registration details next month.

Emory University faculty and staff have access to a wide variety of resources, programs and services to support them in their effort to live their healthiest.  There are resources for preventive care, healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, and much more!  


FSAP’s Upcoming Support/Skills Groups
The Faculty Staff Assistance Program announces two new groups:

Anger/Conflict Management Skills Group - will meet Tuesdays, March 15 – May 10, 2016 (8 sessions, with no session on April 5), from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the FSAP Main Office. To register, prospective participants must contact FSAP at 404-727-4328 no later than March 7 to schedule a pre-screening appointment. View flyer.

Grief and Loss Support Group - will meet Thursdays, March 24 – April 28, 2016 (6 sessions), from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm at the FSAP Main Office. To register, prospective participants must contact FSAP at 404-727-4328 no later than March 15 to schedule a pre-screening appointment. View flyer.


Intimate Partner Violence Training March 3
Space is still available in the March 3rd Intimate Partner Violence:  Awareness, Response and Prevention   class in Learning & Organizational Development.  This class is open to all Emory employees and is a required class for HR Rep Certification Levels II and III.  Register through ELMS.
