Emory College of Arts and Sciences Faculty to Vote on Faculty Governance
On February 11 at 4:00 p.m. in White Hall 208, faculty from the Emory College of Arts and Sciences will begin discussing and voting on a new system of faculty governance.  The proposed legislation grew out of two years of work by various committees.  Last fall the Governance Committee presented a draft of the proposal to the faculty in a “committee of the whole” discussion.  With faculty input the committee revised the proposal, which it will introduce for adoption at the February 11 meeting.  In the meantime, the committee also has been meeting with departments across campus discussing the proposal and urging faculty to attend the meeting.
