Apply for HERS Institute for Women in Higher Ed

The Center for Women invites you to apply for the 2013-2014 HERS Institute at Wellesley College. HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) is an educational non-profit providing leadership and management development for women in higher education administration. Started in 1978, the HERS Wellesley Institute for Women in Higher Education Administration has brought approximately 70 women faculty and administrators from all regions of the country to Wellesley College each year for a series of four inter-related weekend seminars.

HERS Institutes are very prestigious leadership development and networking opportunities. The Center for Women is proud to partner with the Office of Community and Diversity to provide this leadership development opportunity to one deserving woman each year.

The application process is open to women faculty and administrators at Emory. HERS Institute participants generally hold mid- to senior-level positions and bring expertise from many academic disciplines and organizational specialties. Last year, about 30% of participants were faculty and 30% were academic affairs administrators. The rest were in a variety of other university administrative positions. Seventy percent of participants had doctorate degrees.
