Prescription Drugs

Prescription drug coverage is included as part of your medical plan coverage. For the HSA and POS Plans, prescription drug coverage is administered by CVS/Caremark. For the Kaiser Permanente Plan, prescription drug coverage is within the Kaiser Pharmacy system.

HSA Plan Prescription Drugs

If you are enrolled in the HSA Plan, you must pay all out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs until you meet your annual deductible, with the exception of Tier Zero drugs (Emory pays 100% and plan participants pay $0 for drugs that are listed as Tier Zero).

POS Plan Prescription Drugs

If you are enrolled in the POS Plan, you pay a percentage of the cost though coinsurance.

Kaiser Permanente Prescription Drugs

If you are enrolled in the Kaiser Permanente Plan, you will use the Kaiser pharmacy system. In most of the 26 medical offices, you can conveniently pick up your prescription or consult a Kaiser Permanente pharmacist on your way out the door.
