Presidential Commissions Now Accepting Applications

Emory's Presidential commissions are accepting applications for membership. The commissions help achieve equity for underrepresented groups by raising issues of concern and recommending actions.
Faculty, staff and students at Emory are encouraged to participate. If you are interested in issues relevant to the commissions and want to help make a difference at Emory, apply today.
President's Commission on Race and Ethnicity (PCORE)
We will strive to increase PCORE’s presence on campus and receive feedback on what issues staff, students and faculty would like to see the Commission address. As we proceed to execute our agenda for the year, we will aim to “Reclaim our Identity.” The commission serves as a forum for discussing and addressing issues of race and ethnicity. Our initiatives embody our commitment to maintain and nurture a diverse, enlightened and respectful community at Emory. If you wish to improve the representation, development and success of underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, you have come to the right place. For more information about PCORE and its mission, e-mail Stacey Derico at sderico@emory.edu or visit www.pcore.emory.edu.
President’s Commission on Sexuality, Gender Diversity, and Queer Equality (PCSGDQE) Established in 1995, the PCSGDQE (formerly the President’s Commission on LGBT Concerns) advises the president on issues of concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer persons across the University in order to facilitate the development of a community that is equitable and inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender expressions. For more information and to apply online, visit www.pcsgdqe.emory.edu or e-mail thaddeus.pace@emory.edu.
President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) The PCSW advises President Wagner about improving the quality of life for all women at the University, thereby strengthening the entire Emory community. Established in 1976, the PCSW welcomes women and men to continue our tradition of enriching our community and enhancing our ability to transform society. For more information, e-mail lisa.newbern@emory.edu. PCSW nominations are due by Monday, March 8.
