What Is Your Baby Thinking?
Have you ever wondered how your child grows? How your baby learns about the world? What and how do children think and remember? How do they change as they get older and move from one developmental stage to the next? We would like to find out and you and your child can help!

You and your children are invited to participate in fun and engaging studies that will help us to understand their social and cognitive development. If you have a curious little tot at home in this age range, or any age between 3 months and 10 years, sign up to participate at the Emory Child Study Center. Participation involves a one-time visit to the Emory Campus and lasts less than an hour. Your child’s participation will take about 15 minutes and they will be with you the entire duration. We have both weekday and weekend appointments available and provide free parking and childcare for any siblings who wish to tag along. Your child will receive a participation gift and is sure to have a good time!

Registering for our studies is easy! Just visit our website at to sign up under the How to Participate link.

HR Rep Certification Program Eliminated
After conducting a thorough review of the current HR Rep Certification Program, our research has revealed that there has been a tremendous decline in program participation.  The program, which was launched in 2010, has met the needs of most of the HR community.  Therefore, effective January 1, 2020, the HR Rep Certification Program, as it is currently designed, will be eliminated. Individuals already enrolled in the program that have begun taking the required courses will be allowed to complete the program and will be contacted directly by L&OD to discuss what will be required for completion.

Please note that L&OD will continue to offer the HR specific courses in an on-line format, and individuals that need this content to better perform their jobs, or are interested in learning more about specific HR content, will be able to complete these courses at any time by registering for them in the ELMS.  However, there will no longer be a formal certificate provided for completing the HR specific departmental courses.
