Required Title IX Training – Open Now
The U.S. Department of Education recently released the final regulations for implementing protections of equal access to education under Title IX of the Higher Education Act of 1972. Colleges are required to follow these regulations when responding to allegations of sexual assault and other forms of sexual harassment and misconduct.

Following a review of these regulations, Emory adopted the new Sex and Gender-Based Harassment and Discrimination Policy, which updates our policies and processes to comply with federal law and adhere to our commitment to maintain the safety and well-being of all members of our community. Emory is committed to providing an environment that is free from unlawful harassment and discrimination and to ensuring all members of our community feel safe, secure and respected.

As part of Emory’s comprehensive training plan for all employees (faculty and staff), teaching assistants and resident advisors, you are required to complete the Building Supportive Communities: Clery Act & Title IX Course. This course trains faculty and staff on how to recognize, report, and prevent sexual misconduct and includes the new federal regulatory requirements. You must complete this updated version even if you previously took the course.

To complete the course log in to Emory’s Learning Management System  and click on the tile labeled "My Learning”. The module is listed as one of your assigned courses and will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
