Operation Eat Right Has Kicked Off – There’s Still Time to Participate!

Learn to develop better eating habits by participating in "Operation Eat Right," a nutrition challenge offered through July 14. It is not too late to join. Emory Healthy Kitchen – New Pilot Program
Apply to participate in Emory Healthy Kitchen, a new pilot program that combines educational information with hands-on learning in nutrition, culinary arts, exercise, yoga and mindfulness. This pilot consists of five Saturday sessions over a 10-week period (Aug. 10-Oct. 5) and includes health coaching and support for a total of 12 months. The pilot is only open to benefits-eligible Emory employees (Emory University and Emory Healthcare). 40 committed participants will be recruited based on qualifying criteria. Learn more.

Workplace Violence Training for Managers – Take by June 15
Emory’s Workplace Violence Training for Managers is now available in ELMS. All managers/supervisors at Emory University are required to take this new training which will help you better understand the threat of workplace violence in our community, recognize the warning signs, and learn what to do if you find yourself confronting a potential threatening situation. Be sure to watch the entire video to receive credit for the course. Please take the course no later than June 15. Learn more.

Summer Walking Groups Start June 12
The Move More Challenge may be over, but that doesn’t mean you need to stop getting steps! Join us for one of these summer walking groups on Wednesdays, June 12 through July 17:

  • Meet Me @ the Quad: An early morning outdoor walking group to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures around the Quad! Wednesdays at 7:30 am. Register now.

Almost 25% of all families are currently dealing with elder care issues. Even if you’re not, elder care needs can be sudden and unpredictable, but you don’t have to bear the responsibility alone. Emory has the following upcoming events dealing with adult caregiving:

  • Webinar: Sandwich Generation: Strategies for Multigenerational Caregiving, presented by WorkPlace Options, July 10, 2019, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Register.
