Staff Fest 2021

Join us for Emory’s 43rd Annual Staff Fest -- A Virtual Event Like No Other! The Variety Show (main event) will take place virtually on Friday, May 21, from 1:00-2:00 pm, with additional, optional breakout sessions starting at 2:00 pm.

Two competitions are currently taking submissions and prizes will be awarded to the winners.

COVID-19 Vaccine – Vaccinated Outside of Emory?
If you received your COVID-19 vaccine at a location outside of Emory, you can upload documentation of your vaccine to the Emory H.O.M.E. portal. This will not only help Emory keep track of how many people in our community have been vaccinated on our campus, but will also stop the vaccine reminder emails A step-by-step guide can be found here.

Emory Retirement Plan Class-Action Lawsuit Settled – Some Employees Will Receive Deposits to Their 403(b) Account
Emory recently settled a class-action lawsuit involving allegations about the management of the Emory University Retirement Plan and Emory Healthcare, Inc. Retirement Savings and Matching Plan (the 403(b) Plans). Emory agreed to settle the claims that remained rather than continue with an expensive trial and appeal process. The settlement put an end to the lawsuit and provides some financial benefits to 403(b) Plan participants.

Update: If you are entitled to a share of the settlement proceeds, you will receive notification from your retirement vendor(s): TIAA, Fidelity Investments, and/or Vanguard sometime in April or May.

Parents Supporting Teen Wellbeing: Cultivating Healthy Coping Strategies for Pandemic Fatigue: Has your teen’s coping declined over the past year?  Whose hasn’t? Pandemic life is lasting much longer than anyone anticipated, and fatigue has set in for both adults and children. This virtual workshop will offer tangible strategies to support your teen’s ability to handle chronic stress, practice resilience and enhance overall wellbeing.  Facilitator by Dr. Mellonie Mullins, LMFT, FSAP Clinician.

Did you know your teen and college-age dependent can study at Emory this summer? Emory College of Arts and Science offers both credit and noncredit courses all taught by Emory faculty.
