National Walking Day is April 6th
This annual event is a call-to-action to walk for 30 minutes during the workday to promote physical activity and well-being. Every year, hundreds of Emory University and Emory Healthcare employees participate in organized walks on Emory’s campuses, joining thousands of others across the country who walk on this American Heart Association–sponsored day. Join us on April 6th for a walk at Lullwater Preserve at 12:00 noon. Use #NWDEmory to tag post and pictures on social media outlets. Learn more.

Update on the Compass Upgrade Project
Emory is in the process of upgrading the PeopleSoft financials system (“Compass”) and has recently announced a “Go Live” date of November 14, 2016. Emory Earth Month Festival March 29
The Emory Earth Month Festival will be held on Tuesday, March 29 from
11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. A fun event for staff, students and faculty, come enjoy spring weather, sip a smoothie from a bike-powered blender or savor a Farm Burger sample. You can also learn how Emory's WaterHub works, receive a student-grown potted basil plant, learn how to fix your bike, test your sustainability trivia knowledge, shop for upcycled gifts, and much more.


2016 Green Office Incentives Fund Applications Now Available
The Green Office Incentives Fund supports participants in the Green Offices at Emory Program by funding advancements in sustainable processes and procedures in Emory’s work spaces. Creative proposals are welcomed for initiatives that seek new knowledge, support new behavior patterns, and make sustainable practices feasible. Grants may be awarded up to $5,000. Faculty, staff, and students from Emory University and Emory Healthcare work spaces are eligible to apply for the Green Offices Incentives Fund.

Please submit applications to greenoffices@emory.edu by midnight on April 4, 2016. Participating offices must also acquire Green Offices at Emory certification by submitting a Green Office Checklist to be considered for funding. Emory Lactation Support Program Survey
Breastfeeding matters to many women. Your feedback matters to us.  The Center for Women seeks feedback on Emory’s Lactation Support Program and encourages all past, present and future lactating mothers to complete a short survey. This survey will assess awareness about Emory’s Lactation Support Program and evaluate how well the program is meeting the needs of breastfeeding mothers on campus. We greatly appreciate your time in responding. It should take no longer than 5 to complete. Take the survey now .

Emory’s Pre-College Program Accepting Applications
The Emory Pre-College Program is a summer academic program for high school students. It gives college-bound rising juniors and rising seniors an exciting glimpse of academic and residential life at a top-ranked national university.

High school students may explore topics with professors who are the leading experts in their fields, enroll in classes with college students, and earn transferable college credit. Two-week non-credit courses, three-week non-credit institutes and six-week credit courses are available.

Emory Pre-College students live together in a dorm on campus or within commuting distance with their families and participate in a variety of programs, activities, and excursions designed to prepare them for college life.

Dependents of employees may be eligible for the courtesy scholarship for credit courses. Check with your benefits specialist. Learn more at www.precollege.emory.edu.
