                    | COVID-19 Booster Attestation Due by Jan. 19
 Emory University requires all students, faculty, and staff to be  vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, with exceptions only for those with  approved medical or religious exemptions.                         The deadline to get boosted and verify COVID-19 booster status is  Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Those not eligible for the booster, per CDC  guidelines, by January 19 must get boosted within two weeks of becoming  eligible. DO NOT upload your booster documentation to the HOME portal.  |  |  |

            | Paid Parental Leave Expanded to Six WeeksOn January 1, 2022, the University expanded the paid parental  leave benefit from three weeks to six weeks. Births and adoptions  occurring on or after January 1, 2022 qualify for the six weeks of leave.             | Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) ReturnsThe Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a one-year, small group  program that teaches you how to eat healthy, increase your physical activity  and manage your stress in order to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. This  national program was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and  Prevention. Employees on Emory’s medical plan are eligible to receive up to  $250 in medical plan incentives for  participating in the DPP in 2022. To be eligible for the program, you must:
 
                Have  a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or greater (for Asian Americans, 23 or greater),  ANDHave  prediabetes diagnosed by a blood test, ORHave  history of gestational diabetes, ORScreen  positive for prediabetes using the American Diabetes Association risk test The next cohort of classes begins in February 2022.
