Job description as advertised: 

Summary of Duties: Produce scientifically-accurate visual media, including illustrations, animations, models, and interactive platforms and environments for communication with and education of healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public.  Collaborate with faculty and staff to determine outcomes improved through the use of visual communications.  Propose effective solutions appropriate for the intended audience.  Assist with deployment and ongoing management of final products.  Perform related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications: Requires a Master’s degree in Medical Illustration or closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Medical Illustrator or related multimedia occupation.  The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Illustration or closely related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Medical Illustrator or related multimedia occupation in lieu of a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience.  The position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience creating professional medical illustration and/or animation work.  Requires experience with mobile application and interface design, as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite.  Requires experience with Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, 3D modeling and animation, clinical and academic research, and user testing.  Must possess advanced life drawing skills.  Requires experience with project leadership of small teams, experience coordinating projects between multiple stakeholders, and experience with operating room observation.
