Confirmation statements will be mailed to faculty and staff at their home addresses in early December. Please review your statement to ensure it is accurate. Pay special attention to the Medical Charge -Spouse/SSDP and Tobacco Use Surcharge. Corrections and adjustments will be accepted through December 29, 2011.


Have You Gotten Your Flu Shot Yet?
The Faculty Staff Assistance Program is partnering with Kroger Pharmacies to offer Emory University’s faculty and staff annual flu vaccinations from Oct. 17 through Dec. 31, 2011. Vouchers/coupons can be downloaded through Dec. 31 at http://fsap.emory.edu/flu.


Tired of Traffic? Complete the Workplace Flexibility Survey by November 11
The Emory WorkLife Resource Center, in partnership with the Office of Institutional Research, is conducting a campus-wide survey of Emory staff on the topic of Workplace Flexibility. Your input is very important as it will help us to identify some of the key issues surrounding this topic as well plan any future flexibility initiatives. New Emory Child Care Network Provider Offers Quality Flexible Option for Parents
Bean Work Play Café is not your typical childcare setup. This co-space, located near the Avondale/Decatur border offers care in a nurturing, safe, fun setting, while parents sit a short distance away, fielding conference calls, typing up proposals and researching projects in a quiet, business environment. The work and play options offer convenience for parents who have flexible needs, including the self-employed, part-time workers, telecommuters, work at home parents and students with children. A key factor in avoiding an unhealthy or abusive partner/spousal relationship is the presence of a strong, trusting, supportive bond. FSAP presents a workshop focusing on traits of healthy relationships and strategies for being proactive in strengthening intimate relationship bonds. Learn more.

Delta Airline Ticket Giveaway for the 2012 Emory Community Giving Program
To encourage giving to this campaign, the United Way is giving away a pair of Delta Airlines tickets! Any Emory employee who donates $200 or more between Nov. 7 and Nov. 30 will be entered into a drawing to win two Delta Airlines tickets (domestic travel only). Drawing will take place on Dec. 5. The annual fall campaign for Emory Community Giving, which runs through December 31, raises funds for eligible nonprofit groups that address an array of health, human-service, community, and environmental needs.  Employees can donate money through the convenience of payroll deduction, credit card and/or check.  Learn more at www.communitygiving.emory.edu.
