Nominations Open for Award of Distinction
Nominations are now open for Emory University's Award of Distinction Program. The program recognizes nominated individuals for “contributory excellence” through their initiative, innovation and leadership. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 17, 2012.

Emory Has Been Tobacco-free for 23 days! 
Smoking is now only permitted in the temporary smoking zones. Download smoking zone map.

Remember, enforcement is everyone’s responsibility.  To assist students, faculty and staff in approaching smokers on campus, sample scripts and training videos have been developed.  View Sample Scripts and Training Videos


New Smart Device Security Policy
Emory has approved a new policy to improve the security of smart devices (smart phones, tablets, etc.) that access Emory e-mail, or store sensitive Emory data. In the coming months, devices that are configured to check Emory Exchange e-mail will automatically be configured to meet the requirements of the policy. Read more.

Hardship Fund Continues to Help Employees
Funded solely by donations from Emory University’s faculty and staff, the Hardship Fund is designed to assist faculty and staff members who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship due to a catastrophic event.  Read more.
