Emory Pediatric Seasonal 2010-2011 Flu Vaccine Study

The Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit at Emory Children’s Center is conducting a trial on the flu vaccine in children under 3 years of age, and we are recruiting children to participate in the study!

The study is open to healthy children between the ages of 6 months and 35 months, who have not yet received this year’s flu vaccine.  We will enroll one group of children who have never received a flu vaccine, and another group of children who have received 2 doses of 2009-2010 H1N1 flu vaccine and 2 doses of seasonal flu vaccine in the past.

The study involves 2 or 3 visits, depending on prior vaccine history.  All children in the study will receive the flu vaccine at no cost, and there is no placebo in this study.  At each visit, a small amount of blood will be drawn.  Families will be compensated $50 per visit.

Please see the attached flyer for more information.
