Free Workshop Surrounding Elder Law

Caregivers often struggle with the many financial and legal issues involved with caring for an aging family member. This topic can be extremely complex and very personal. It is also one of the most difficult to cope with as a caregiver and is often done in times of high stress and anxiety. Many caregivers are faced with decisions that their parents or partners avoided or repeatedly delayed making. Sometimes caregivers have to make decisions on their own after a crisis or medical problem suddenly occurs. Caregivers don’t always have the resources and finances to pay for the care they feel obligated to provide their loved one, and often don’t know where to turn to for help.

The Families in Transition Caregiver’s Education & Support Group and the Emory WorkLife Resource Center have collaborated together to host a workshop titled, “Questions & Answers Surrounding Elder Law”. This question & answer session will be led by Heather Durham Nadler, P.C., and member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  The workshop will made available via a live webcast on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 12 p.m. -1:30 p.m. Get your registration information today.
