The Emory Environmental Health & Safety Office is an available resource for the entire campus to gain safety information or to voice concerns. We’d like to ensure everyone knows about this valuable resource. Learn more.

The Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) is launching several outreach campaigns to increase visibility of safety and EHSO as a department.

The mission of EHSO is to provide and support comprehensive environmental, health and safety programs and services in support of Emory University’s mission to create, preserve, teach and apply knowledge in the service of humanity.

To do this, EHSO offers the following:

• Guidance for the use, storage and disposal of materials used in research, clinical, academic and operational activities.
• Tools and resources that empower your team to:
• Control occupational exposures.
• Understand Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GA-DNR) and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regulatory compliance.

Assistance when you:

• Need environmental, health and safety information or training.
• Experience an occupational incident.
• Notice potential hazards.
• Have safety concerns.
