The Emeritus College Presents Tech Tools Workshop on July 21

The Emeritus College will present a workshop, Tech Tools for Retirees on July 21, 2014, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Goizueta Business School. All members of the Emory community are invited to attend (you do NOT have to be a retiree). Test-drive popular social networks and learn how to communicate effectively while remaining safe online.

Emory Alumni Association Social Media Specialist, Tania Dowdy will provide insight on how to use Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter while EUEC member and Emory Librarian Emeritus, Selden Deemer will provide tips for communicating and staying safe online.

Attendees with smart gadgets should bring their devices to learn how to access social media tools on the go. Discussion will center around the shift from traditional forms of communication to new media (Wikipedia definition: on-demand access to content anytime, anywhere, on any digital device, as well as interactive user feedback, and creative participation) and social media as well as selecting the right social media for engagement.

Registration is required. Lunch is available for $7. View flyer for complete details.
