Enhanced Clinic Access for Emory Employees

Emory offers two programs geared toward expedited access: Emory’s Patient-Centered Primary Care Clinic and 8-EVIP.

8-EVIP: Emory Employee Appointment Line
The Emory Employee Appointment Line, 404-778-EVIP (3847), which was initially created several years ago, has been revised and restructured in an effort to offer easier access to Emory physicians.  The service now offers expedited appointments to all Emory employees and their direct dependents; there are no insurance requirements to use 8-EVIP.  For access, patients only need to dial one number: 8-EVIP.

Several modifications have been made to improve the service and ensure expedited appointments. These changes include:

  • Senior level call agents answering 8-EVIP from 8 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday, who can assist you in making appointments with Emory Clinic providers.
  • Assurance that non-urgent appointments will be scheduled within 14 days with the first available provider. Note: Should your preferred provider not be available, we will connect you with another well-qualified TEC provider or Emory-affiliated practice.
  • Assurance that urgent appointments will be clinically reviewed to secure an appointment within a medically appropriate time frame. This may include a referral to Emory University’s Express Care Clinic.

Emory’s Patient-Centered Primary Care Clinic

Last summer, the Emory Patient-Centered Primary Care Clinic was launched. This new care model emphasizes personalized medicine and greater coordination of care via care teams and is ideal for patients looking to establish a relationship with a primary care physician. Particularly beneficial to those with chronic conditions, the Emory Patient-Centered Primary Clinic features the following benefits:

  • Coordinated care between all providers and specialists
  • Partnership between the care team, patient and family members to set health goals
  • Enhanced access, including phone visits and secure e-mail correspondence
  • Same-day or next-day appointments available after your initial visit
Emory’s Patient-Center Primary Care Clinic is currently open to all Emory employees and their adult family members covered under and Emory medical plan and Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO members. For more information or to become a patient, call 404-778-2050 or visit online.
